    IED WORKSHOP 2017

Insight into ISIS Bomb Making Methodology

IED WORKSHOP 2017

First of its kind in Asia! Presented by Certified Counter Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP) and Milipol Asia-Pacific.

When: 6 April 2017 (Thursday), 9am - 5pm

Where: Milipol Asia-Pacific 2017, Marina Bay Sands Expo, Singapore

Overview

Get an exclusive insight into ISIS bomb making and understand one of the reasons how ISIS is able to defend large cities against the Iraqi army and the Kurdish Peshmerga security forces as the coalition forces are fighting their way through the city of Mosul.

In the workshop, we look at what TTPs (tactics, techniques and procedures) ISIS have been so effective in using against all those that stand in their way.

In Iraq, IEDs were critical to ISIS’ ability to seize about a third of the country and half of Syria in 2014 using a flurry of suicide bombers and VBIEDs to attack from multiple directions and force their opponents to retreat.

As Iraqi forces advance on ISIS’ last urban stronghold in Iraq, the Jihadist legacy will be a city laced with hidden explosive devices. They are known to have planted bombs in high quantities to target those that move into areas that they used to occupy.

The workshop will be led by an EOD expert with over 25 years of experience who is currently on the ground with coalition forces and supporting the Iraqi forces in bomb disposal activities by implementing TTPs and training programs.
